With the help of Helix vox-man Brian Vollmer and Vaughn bassist
Jamie Scott, the new Cherry St. disc is a collection of good-time, sleazy, hard
rock nuggets. With riffage similar to AC/DC and an attitude as raw as early
L.A. Guns, these guys write from the old school of hard rock. With a smokin'
groove, "The Moon" is a cool cut that will guarentee some foot tapping. "Suicide
Ride" holds a more melodic aire with a great chord progression and Vollmer's
gritty vocals. From the first cut to the closing track, "Talk Of The Town",
you can tell that Cherry St. are a party band and play it no other way. Fans
of late eighties/early nineties hard rock or bluesy, AC/DC-influenced rock need
to get this.
